THE SUDS SATURDAY CRUISE-IN, 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 350 Market Place, Greenwood.

Step back in time when weekends were for showing off your muscle car or hot rod down at the local drive-in.

More than 100 cars of every make and model show up and show out for the weekly get-together, while the Suds, a historic stand situated in downtown Greenwood, serves classic drive-in fare. Car Craft Magazine named this one of the 10 best places to cruise in the U.S., so don’t miss the fun.

FREE OUTDOOR FILM SERIES, 9 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, Historic Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., Franklin. Free.

Movies are nothing new at the Historic Artcraft Theatre, which has been showing classic films to crowds of people every weekend for years. But for this special event, the theater is bringing the movie outside under the stars.

Celebrate the start of summer with “The Secret Life of Pets,” a family-friendly look at what your pets are doing at home while you’re away during the day. The screen will be set up outside the theater on Main Street, and people are invited to set up chairs and blankets, snack on Artcraft popcorn and purchase additional snacks as well.
