To the editor:
It is of paramount importance to me that we hold corrupt officials responsible for their corruption. Elections in America are supposed to be the opportunity for Americans to make the choice on who becomes elected. The evidence from our intelligence agencies—including but not limited to the Mueller report—and the president’s own mouth prove that he will accept foreign support to win, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
I have not been solidly in favor of impeachment until now, but I now believe Congress needs to check and balance the executive branch with impeachment for his grossly inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to allowing and encouraging foreign powers to corrupt our electoral process.
I pray that the damage he’s done can ever really be fixed, but I fear that will never be the case again. This president must be impeached and removed from power.
