What better way to start the football season off than with a full day of football games?
The Franklin Youth Football League will play its first games of the year at 11 a.m. Saturday at Franklin Community High School. The seventh- and eighth-graders play at 5 and 5:30 p.m., respectively. Then, at 7 p.m., the high school teams will hold their annual Blue/White scrimmages. Johnson’s BBQ and Mrs. Curl will be on site and Franklin spirit wear will be for sale. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and door prizes starting at noon. Games for the kids. Industrial Controls & Automation will be giving out free hot dogs via their robotic hot dog cooker & server. The cheerleaders will be selling McAlister’s ice tea, baked goods and more.
