WAMMfest returns to Greenwood for 11th year

Greenwood, get ready for a great time, where you can sip wine and beer while you take in the local arts and listen to bands throughout the day.

Sertoma Club of Greenwood presents their 11th annual WAMMfest fundraiser 11 am. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Craig Park, 10 E. Smith Valley Road.

WAMMfest stands for the four features of the event: wine, art, music and microbrew. Attendees can savor fragrant varieties of Indiana wine, shop up to 70 booths that will feature unique work including pottery, jewelry, paintings, photography, sculptures, glasswork, woodworking, baskets, clothing, accessories and more. Food vendors feature a wide variety of festival favorites and full-service restaurant quality cuisine.

The festival is sponsored by Ray Skillman Auto Group and Johnson Memorial Health.

Wine vendors include Cedar Creek Winery, Ertel Cellars Winery, Holtkamp Winery, Mallow Run Winery and Rettig Hill Winery.

Microbrew vendors include Bier Brewery, Cedar Creek Brewery Co., Centerpoint Brewing Co., Indiana City Brewery Co., MashCraft Brewery, Oaken Barrel Brewery Co., Planetary Brewery Co., Quaff On! Brewery Co., Sun King Brewery Co. and Taxman Brewery Co.

Six bands will alternate between two stages and will perform throughout the event:

11 a.m. to noon: Smith/Hause Project

Noon to 1:30 p.m.: Fancy Sauce

1:30 to 3 p.m.: The Doo!

3 to 4:30 p.m.: Windbreakers

4:30 to 6 p.m.: Blue River Band

6 to 8 p.m.: The Spazmatics

All net proceeds from the festival are distributed back to support youth, individual and community organizations.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.
