Franklin pulls out road win

Kiki Crabtree scored 17 points to help lead Franklin to a 51-49 victory at Decatur Central on Friday night. Megan Thompson added 13 points for the Grizzly Cubs (4-4, 1-1 Mid-State).

Braves roll in WIC opener

Indian Creek opened conference play with a 59-34 rout of Owen Valley on Friday. Lauren Pendleton scored a team-best 17 for the Braves (5-3, 1-0 WIC), while Hannah Bramlett and Emily Todor added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Grizzly Cubs fall to Hawks

Franklin lost at Decatur Central on Friday night, 64-40. Drew Byerly finished with 17 points for the Grizzly Cubs (1-1, 0-1 Mid-State) and Will McLaughlin added 14.

Lancers beaten by Twisters

Edinburgh dropped a 65-39 decision to Owen Valley on Friday. Travis Jones led the Lancers (0-3) with 13 points and Caleb Dewey chipped in 12.

Franklin hosts Hall of Fame meet

The annual Hall of Fame Classic will be held at Franklin today beginning at 10 a.m., with two sessions scheduled. Admission is $10, good for both sessions and includes a meet program.

Participating in this year’s meet are Franklin, Chesterton, Concord, Greenfield-Central, Northridge and Zionsville.

Free basketball today with donation

The Franklin College athletic training program will be accepting food drive donations at today’s women’s and men’s basketball home games against Bluffton in lieu of the usual $5 admission. Donations will benefit the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.

Two food items are required in order for the cost to be waived. Regular admission is $5 for individuals in middle school and up, and free for anyone younger and for individuals with a valid Franklin College ID. The women’s game will tip off at 2 p.m. at Spurlock Center, with the men to follow at 4 p.m.
