Police raid Franklin home for drugs

<p>Staff Reports</p><p>Police raided a home Wednesday night in Franklin after receiving multiple tips of suspected drug activity.</p><p>In the end, three of the seven adults who were at the house at the time were arrested on several charges each, including various drug charges and neglect of a dependent. Four children were also inside the house at the time of the raid.</p><p>Homeowner David Lee Hodges, 34, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, dealing/manufacturing marijuana, neglect of a dependent and maintaining a common nuisance. He was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was released on $17,800 bond.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]<p>Danielle Leigh Roman, 32, was arrested on the same set of charges, and released from the jail on $9,800 bond.</p><p>Joshua Allen Price, 36, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug and maintaining a common nuisance. He was released from the jail on $1,000 bond.</p><p>In the last couple weeks, police gathered enough evidence to secure a search warrant of the house in the Heritage subdivision on the northeast side of the city, according to a Franklin Police Department report.</p><p>At 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Franklin police served a search warrant at the house, 2354 Blackthorn Drive, where all three lived. Officers knocked on the front door and announced they were there several times. No one answered, so police made forced entry into the house, the report said.</p><p>Police found seven adults in the living room and four children upstairs, according to the report. There was a strong odor of marijuana inside and outside the house, the report said.</p><p>Police searched the house and found drugs and paraphernalia. They also discovered that the residents were growing marijuana in the garage. They found two large tents, running water, growing lamps and a ventilation system, according to the report.</p><p>Roman told police she managed a local restaurant and was holding a manager’s meeting at the house. The other adults who were at the house also said they were there for a manager’s meeting, the report said.</p><p>Police released four of the adults and three of the children at the scene. Roman’s daughter was picked up by a family member, according to the report.</p><p>Police made four separate reports with the Department of Child Services.</p>
