Billy Duane Sandall

Mr. Billy Duane Sandall, of Franklin, passed away on the early evening of Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Indiana Masonic Home and Compass Park. He was 88. Billy was born January 10, 1932 in Galesburg, Illinoisa son of the late William Henry and Thirza (Woolsey) Sandall.

Billy attended Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois and was a member of the graduating Class of 1949. Later in life, he attended the University of Indianapolis and graduated in 1976. Billy also proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church and Capital City Lodge No. 312, F&amp;AM.

Billy enjoyed traveling and was a baseball fan in every sense of the word. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and he took his family on many outings to Busch Stadium to watch his beloved Cardinals play. He had also watched games in most every major league city in America and Canada. He enjoyed bowling and had even rolled a couple of perfect 300 games. He spent much of his leisure time of late working crossword puzzles. He greatest accomplishment however was his family. He dearly loved them and especially his grandsons.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Shannon (John) Langmaid as well as his grandsons, John Langmaid and James Langmaid. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
</p>
<p>
In addition to parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Sandall, who passed July 20, 2000; as well as his siblings, Betty Runyon, Edwin Sandall, Naomi Attaway and Phyllis Lund.
</p>
<p>
Funeral services will be private with burial following to Washington Park East Cemetery.
