Coronavirus cancellations, postponements and employment opportunities

<p>The following are closings or cancellations that have been reported related to the coronavirus threat.</p><p><strong>Colleges</strong></p><p>Ivy Tech Community College-closed all buildings.</p><p><strong>County Services</strong></p><p>Franklin Township Trustee’s office — working normal business hours and taking appointment only.</p><p>Greenwood — NO heavy trash pick up until the end of May. Trash carts and/or toters will still be picked up automatically, anything outside the trash container will not be picked up.</p><p>New Whiteland — Heavy trash pick will resume for residents. Friday customers first pick up will be in June.</p><p>All Johnson County Public Libraries — closed until future notice but are still offering services including:</p><p><ul><li>Curbside pickup available noon to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.</li><li>Answering calls at 317-738-2833 from noon to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.</li><li>Visit pageafterpage.org for hours and to chat with a librarian.</li><li>Downloadable books, audiobooks, movies, music and more are available to all JCPL cardholders.</li><li>Free wi-fi access is available in all library parking lots. Look for the “JCPL-Guest” network, no password required.</li></ul></p><p>Trafalgar town hall new hours — Wednesday’s and Friday’s 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Utility office will remain open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. utility payments outside of these hours may be made on-line or using the drop box. To learn more visit <a href="https://www.asccare.com/careers/">https://www.asccare.com/careers/</a>.</p><p><strong>Facilities</strong></p><p>Greenwood VFW Post 5864, 1842 Veterans Way – Opening Monday, noon to 8 p.m. The capacity will be limited to 60 people. Social distancing guidelines will be required. Questions, call 317-888-2488.</p><p>Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County — Due to COVID-19 the ReStore is temporarily closed for business and have suspended all pick-ups.</p><p>Franklin Cultural Arts and Recreation and Active Adult Center will be closed until further notice. All activities and programs run through the parks department will also be suspended until further notice.</p><p>Nineveh Senior Center — closed through May.</p><p><strong>Health Services</strong></p><p>Indiana Medicaid allows interactions between patients and health care providers, as well as other Medicaid service deliveries, to occur either over the phone or through the use of telemedicine technologies.</p><p><strong>Indiana DNR</strong></p><p>DNR division of fish and wildlife close offices to the public. Coronavirus emergency application are available at <a href="http://in.gov/dva">in.gov/dva</a> and will provide undisrupted assistance to veterans and their families during this national emergency.</p><p><strong>Museums</strong></p><p>Johnson County Museum of History, closed to the public until further notice. The Victorian Tea event is cancelled. The Storytellers from the Past event scheduled for May 16 has been postponed.</p>
