TRAFALGAR
S. Arvis Burchett, 80, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. He was a resident of Trafalgar, Indiana.
He was born on October 17, 1939 in Tennessee to James Odell and Irene (Barnes) Burchett. He married Johanna Birchfield on December 5, 1959. She lovingly survives.
Survivors include his son Kevin Arvis Burchett (Alicia); granddaughter, Alivia Burchett; brothers, Bill Burchett, Phillip Burchett (Regina), James Anthony Burchett, Jeffrey Burchett, Gary Lowe, and Ron Lowe. He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Arvis was a self-employed contractor and builder from 1965-1984. He was the president of Professional Carpet Systems, INC in Whiteland, Indiana from 1984 until 2016.
He was a long time member of Mt. Zion Assembly Church in Franklin, Indiana.
Pastors Steve and Linda Demaree will conduct a celebration of life service on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home 2898 N. Morton St. Franklin, IN 46131. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
