Annual golf scramble set for August
The ninth annual Joey Proctor Charity Golf Scramble will be held on Aug. 10 at Valle Vista Golf Club. Proceeds will benefit the Joey Proctor Scholarship, given each year to a graduating senior at Whiteland. This year’s recipient was former Warrior girls golfer Kierra Mitchell.
Entry fee for the tournament is $75 per player and includes beverage service and a four-entree buffet dinner. Check-in will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. There will be awards for the first-place team, longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin.
