Couple seriously injured in motorcycle accident

A Nashville, Indiana couple were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon.

The driver, Randy Woodall, 57, was driving his motorcycle north on Nineveh Road in Franklin just after 2 p.m. Saturday, when he lost control of the bike due to grass clippings and a vehicle in front of him that had stopped, according to an accident report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The bike flipped, then crashed, ejecting Woodall and his wife, Cindy, 53, according to the report.

Randy Woodall was unconscious when deputies arrived. He was airlifted via LifeLine to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with several unknown injuries, the report said.

Cindy Woodall was also taken to the hospital by ambulance with a broken ankle, compound fracture, a possible broken arm and other injuries, according to the report.

Randy Woodall was discharged from the hospital, and Cindy Woodall was in stable condition Monday, hospital spokespeople said.

Both were wearing helmets, the report said.
