NINEVEH
Helvetia D. (Doris) Mudd, age 88, passed away on Saturday evening, August 8, 2020 at her longtime residence in Nineveh, Indiana.
She was born on January 5, 1932 in Grayson County, Kentucky to John Henry and Hettie (Mudd) Mudd.
Helvetia married Floyd Mudd in 1949. He preceded her in passing.
They had one son, Gary and his wife Darlene Mudd of Nineveh; one granddaughter, Kelly and husband Brian Chastain of Franklin; one step-granddaughter, Tina and husband Kip Brownfield and two step-great-granddaughters, Malea and Makayla of Nineveh and one sister, Geneva Mudd of Nineveh and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Floyd and brothers, Link, Arter, Earl and Loyd Mudd and three sisters, Rose, Phymaelie and Cuba. She was also preceded in passing by a special friend, T.A. Giles.
She attended school in Kentucky.
Helvetia was a homemaker. She was a faithful, dedicated employee with Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home for over thirty years. She attended Nineveh Christian Church.
Helvetia’s greatest love and joy was spending time with her family.
Pastor Tom Knight will conduct a celebration of Helvetia’s life on Wednesday, August 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to time of service. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
