<p>Girls soccer</p><p><strong>Trojans close with win</strong></p><p>Class 3A No. 18 Center Grove finished out the regular season with a 2-1 victory over Batesville on Thursday. Taylor Wert and Kylie Carpenter scored goals for the Trojans (12-4), who will face Franklin in their sectional opener on Tuesday in Whiteland.</p><p><strong>Grizzly Cubs get road win</strong></p><p>Erica Buening and Kenzi West both scored goals, the latter off a Stephanie Brady assist, as Franklin posted a 2-1 win at Greenfield-Central.</p><p>Boys soccer</p><p><strong>Warriors prevail in OT</strong></p><p>Whiteland edged Mooresville, 4-3, in an overtime battle Thursday night. Jakob Beaulieu scored twice for the Warriors (6-8-1, 4-3 Mid-State), while Harjap Singh and Tristan Thomas tallied one apiece.</p><p><strong>Trojans battle to draw</strong></p><p>Center Grove finished in a 1-1 deadlock with Lawrence Central on Thursday. Landen Montfort scored the lone goal for the Trojans.</p><p>Boys tennis</p><p><strong>Roncalli wins sectional</strong></p><p>Seniors Josh Wormann and Cole Elzea posted a three-set victory at second doubles to deliver the clinching point in Roncalli’s 3-2 win over Franklin Central in a sectional title match on Thursday. Tyler Schofield and Ty Ransburg won at first and third singles, respectively.</p><p>Volleyball</p><p><strong>Roncalli advances again</strong></p><p>Miranda Wilson put down 14 kills as Roncalli rolled past North Central, 25-18, 25-21, 25-15, in the second round of the Marion County tournament on Thursday.</p>
