<p>Volleyball</p><p>Sectional brackets released</p><p>The IHSAA released the brackets Sunday night for next week’s sectionals.</p><p>The four local Class 4A teams will play at Franklin Central, with Franklin and Shelbyville facing off in one first-round match for the right to play Whiteland in one semifinal. On the other side of the draw, Center Grove and Greenwood will meet for the right to play the host Flashes in the other semi.</p><p>Indian Creek’s Class 3A opener will be against Beech Grove, with the survivor playing a semifinal match against host Cardinal Ritter. In the Class A sectional at Edinburgh, the host Lancers will play a first-round match against Greenwood Christian, with the winner advancing to face Morristown in the semifinal round.</p><p>Trojans manage split</p><p>Center Grove defeated Noblesville in four sets on Saturday but lost to Hamilton Southeastern in three. Grace Boggess and Avery Holubar had 17 and 14 kills, respectively, against the Millers. Jenna Otto totaled 72 assists on the day.</p><p>Roncalli wins county championship</p><p>With Saturday victories over Lawrence North and Brebeuf, Roncalli claimed the Marion County tournament title. The team defeated the Braves in the final, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18, behind 16 kills from Olivia Murphy and 28 digs from Emma Halter.</p><p>Girls soccer</p><p>Warriors top Cougars</p><p>Whiteland finished out the regular season with a 4-1 win over Greenwood Christian on Saturday. Sarah Turcotte had a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Haley Achs and Emma Gill each added one.</p><p>Women’s college golf</p><p>Shepherd wins in Bloomington</p><p>Erica Shepherd fired a final-round 69 on Sunday to pull away from the field for a seven-stroke victory at the Golfweek Hoosier Amateur in Bloomington.</p><p>The 2019 Center Grove grad and current Duke sophomore finished with a score of 75-71-69—215. She was the only player to post a round under 70 all weekend.</p><p>Football</p><p>Chargers activate Toner</p><p>Offensive lineman Cole Toner, a Greenwood native and Roncalli graduate, was activated from the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad on Saturday and placed on the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.</p>
