John Michael Schocke, age 66, of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born on Monday, September 20, 1954 in Connersville, Indiana, to Woodrow and Billie Schocke, both of whom precede him in death.He was a graduate of Purdue University who worked as a Civil Engineer at American Structurepoint for over 25 years. He loved rock n’ roll music, the thrill of fast cars, and travelling locally and abroad. He also attained the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout and loved to go fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Christine Schocke of Greenwood; sons: John David Schocke of Greenwood, and Michael J. (Tonya) Schocke of Indianapolis; sister-in-law: Linda (Ken) Sanders of Plainfield; brother: Terry (Terri) Schocke of Ely, Minnesota; grandchildren: Ashton Schocke, Katlyn Schocke, and Allison Schocke.

He is also preceded in death by his sister: Joetta Schocke; as well as his step-father: Ralph Paris; and his beloved huskies: Cheyenne and Akayla.
</p>

Private funeral services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at alzfdn.org, or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana at crh.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis Chapel.
