Christine Marie (Soberg) Winn 68 of Bargersville, IN passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her residence, with her loving family around her.
She was born December 25, 1951 in Gary Indiana to Clarence Donald Soberg Sr. and Emma Jane (Quillen) Hedger. She married Richard Julius Winn on April 2, 1971 in Portage, IN, he preceded her in death on October 3, 2013. She had worked at Stowers and Son Grocery in Wheatfield, IN, DeMotte Elementary School cafeteria in DeMotte, IN, and the Orville Redenbacher Company in Rensselaer, IN. She was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed bowling playing Bunco and card games.
Survivors include her daughter: Tammi Renee McCabe (Tony) of Surprise, AZ and her son: Richard William Winn (Katie) of Greenwood, IN, five grandchildren: Meghan Krystee Buchanan, Sara Jesika Buchanan, Levi Anthony McCabe, Emmelyn Rose Winn, Delaney Clare Winn, siblings: Mary Jane Hall of Portland, TN, Doris J. Levenduski of Michigan City, IN, Debi Brockway-Burns (George) of Chesterton, IN, Arlene Gilland (Coy) of Madison, TN, Donna Kitchen (Mark) of Portage, IN, Don Soberg Jr. of Valparaiso, IN and Olsen Soberg (Cassy) of Portage, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, IN where family and friends will gather from 12:00 PM (Noon) till service time at the funeral home. Friends are welcome to share at the 2:00 PM service.
Due to COVID-19 mandates, facial covering and mask are required for those attending.
