Betty L. Hite

FRANKLIN, INDIANA

Betty L. (Robrock) Hite, 87, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Compass Park Indiana Masonic Home.

Betty was born in Huntington, Indiana on August 15, 1936 to the late William Earnest and Anna Ruth (Beaver) Robrock.

Betty retired after 30 years as an interviewer with the US Commerce Department. She was a 64-year Purdue Extension member. She was a den mother and involved in the Huntington and Johnson County Boy Scouts and 4-H. Betty owned D’liteful Expressions Floral Business. Betty was the Queen Mother of the Ruby Jewels Red Hats of Whiteland. She was a member of the Mid-Hoosier Model A Restorers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Dean Alan Hite.

Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Richard Hite of Franklin, IN; children, David Lynn Hite and his wife Mary of Scottsburg, IN, Darl Richard Hite and his wife Candi of Indianapolis, IN, Dale Eugene Hite and his wife Vickie of Indianapolis, IN, and Deanne Elizabeth Hite of Franklin, IN; grandchildren, Brittany, Jeremy, Dustin, Jake, Jordan, Ryan, Brent, Cheri, Amber, and James Dean; 25 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; brother, Phil Robrock and his wife Jane of Huntington, IN.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Hurricane Community Church, located at 4592 N. Hurricane Road, Franklin, IN 46131. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29th at 1:30pm at the church with visitation from 1:00pm until the funeral hour. Betty will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
