Doris Jean (Stevens) Combs, age 97, of Greenwood, passed away on December 7, 2020. She was born on April 14, 1923 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky to the late Ed and Rachel (Smith) Stevens. She married Clyde Combs on April 3, 1941.
Doris was a member of Emerson Ave Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at The Hearth at Stones Crossing for their loving care and kindness.
Doris is survived by her children, Edwin (Louise) Combs and Wanda (the late Raymond) Monday; grandchildren, Allen (Brandy) Monday, David (Holly) Combs and Jason (Elysa) Monday; and great grandchildren, Karlee Monday, Rhett Monday, Skye Combs and Alden Combs. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Thelma Jean Combs; and siblings, Virginia Kiss, Homer Stevens, Norma Hunter, and Dorothy Pitcher.
A visitation for Doris will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM also at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
