GREENWOOD
Ronald Lee Bruce, 81, of Greenwood, passed away on December 12, 2020. He was born on February 20, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late George and Josephine (Wetzel) Bruce.
Ron retired from the Indiana State Police Department in 1998 after 32 years of dedication. He went on to work for the Greenwood Police Department for 9 years. He was a member of Greenwood Moose Lodge and American Legion.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Charlotte “Charley” Bruce; sister, Jody Parient, of Attica, IN; children, Cathy (Luke) Trice, of TN, Robert (Shari) Bruce, of Indpls, IN, and Chasity (Jerry) Blackburn, of TN; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bruce; sons, Mark, Rick and Nick Bruce; and grandson, Zachary Bruce.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron at a later date.
