Patsy Lou (McPeak) Kurtz, 77, died Tuesday, December 29 at Community South hospital surrounded by Dan Kurtz, her devoted husband of 44 plus years and loving family.
</p>
<p>
Born December 26, 1943 in Indianapolis. Patsy was the first born of three children of the late George William McPeak and Mazie (Patterson) McPeak.
</p>
<p>
Patsy married Dan Kurtz at Union Christian church in Nineveh Township on April 10, 1976. They are members of the Northern Park Baptist church.
</p>
<p>
Patsy attended Nineveh High School. She later earned her diploma and became a bank teller for twenty years. She retired from National City Bank. She enjoyed hands on crafts such as crocheting. She also loved spending time working on her yard and her flowers.
</p>
<p>
Survivors include her husband Dan Kurtz of Greenwood; siblings Beverley (McPeak) Richmond of Nineveh and Geoff McPeak of Franklin; children April (Dan) Cohen, Tony (Susan) Roberts, Angela (Ron) Ankney, and Michael (Debbie Stoughton) Kurtz; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

<p>
While pleasure is a shared experience, pain is intensely personal. As much joy as Patsy offered the world, she carried inside her chronic pain that would not go away in spite of the many efforts of all who loved and cared for her.
</p>
<p>
Patsy’s pain has come to an end. She passed from this life to the next peacefully and without undue hardship. While she struggled with the life she lived, she died in the way she wanted.
</p>
<p>
A private family service will be livestreamed on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 12:00p.m. on Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home’s Facebook Page.
