Indiana reports nearly 900 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths

<p>INDIANAPOLIS &mdash; Nearly 900 new cases of the coronavirus and 27 additional deaths linked to the virus have been reported in Indiana.</p>
<p>The 897 newly diagnosed cases bring the state’s total to 660,942 since the start of the pandemic, the Indiana Department of Health said Saturday.</p>
<p>The state also said 12,125 people have died, while another 431 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. </p>
<p>More than 981,000 Indiana residents have received a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 552,241 are fully vaccinated, according to health officials.</p>
