Franklin College

Softball sweeps Bluffton

Alisha Burch tossed a four-hit shutout, striking out seven, to set the tone as Franklin College swept a Saturday doubleheader against visiting Bluffton, 9-0 and 8-5.

Natalie Weber had three doubles and five RBIs on the day for the Grizzlies (5-3), while Abby Hickson drove in four runs.

Baseball splits with Anderson

Franklin College rallied from four runs down in the sixth inning to earn a 9-6 win over Anderson in the first game of a twinbill. The Grizzlies (3-3) dropped the nightcap, 11-8.

Sean Sullivan had an RBI triple and a three-run homer on the day.

Men’s soccer suffers setback

Though Dany Escamilla scored his first career goal, Franklin College took a 2-1 home loss to Mount St. Joseph. The Grizzlies remain winless at 0-4.

Women’s lacrosse comes up short

Franklin College lost at Concordia (Chicago), 11-2. Abbey Voss scored both goals for the Grizzlies (0-2).
