Senior middle blocker Abby Sewell was named to the All-HCAC first team in volleyball. It’s the third time Sewell, who finished this season with 122 kills and 49 blocks, has won the honor.
Junior Logan Snyder picked up a win in No. 1 doubles for the Concordia (Wisconsin) men’s tennis squad in a 7-2 loss to Wisconsin-LaCrosse.

Indiana Wesleyan baseball won all four games in a series against Mount Vernon Nazarene as senior leadoff hitter Tye Thixton delivered a total of four hits and scored five runs. Junior Nick Coy added an RBI single for the Wildcats in a 4-3 win to end the series.
Franklin College third baseman Jackson Young had a single, drove in a run and scored a run in the baseball team’s 9-6 win over Anderson. He scored a run and stole a base in an 11-8 loss to the Ravens.
University of Indianapolis catcher Will Smithey had two singles and a stolen base in an 8-7 loss to Missouri S&T.
Senior Hanna Burris had a double, two runs scored and a steal for UIndy softball in its 15-1 rout of McKendree. Sophomore pinch hitter Piper Belden drove in a run.
The UIndy volleyball squad lost to Missouri S&T and Quincy despite Emma Jones recording 10 kills in each match.
Freshman Ashley Eck finished with 31 digs in the Indiana State volleyball team’s two losses to Drake.
Indiana senior Ethan Shepherd tied for 32nd place individually at the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, shooting 70-76-76—222. The Hoosiers finished seventh out of 15 teams.
Duke women’s golfer Erica Shepherd helped the Blue Devils finish second at the Valspar Augusta Invitational by shooting a 2-over-par total of 218.
Freshman Bayleigh Riddle picked up an assist for the Franklin College women’s lacrosse team in its 15-2 loss at Concordia (Illinois).
Junior defensive back Riley Roberts had five tackles for Rose-Hulman football in its 31-21 win at Mount St. Joseph.
Senior linebacker Sam Bolin and lineman Brad Boswell each had a tackle for loss and three overall to help Taylor defeat Madonna, 45-0.

Franklin College freshman softball player Delanie Gourley improved her pitching record to 2-1 on the season in the Grizzlies’ 8-5 defeat of Bluffton. Gourley worked 6 2/3 innings, allowing 13 hits and striking out five.
Indiana Wesleyan pitcher Danielle Munn pitched a complete game in a 4-1 victory at Taylor, allowing four hits and striking out four.
Morehead State sophomore pitcher Luke Helton picked up the win for his team by pitching five innings, allowing nine hits and striking out two in a 14-5 victory over Eastern Kentucky.
Tyler Wick pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief for the Franklin College baseball team in an 11-8 loss to Anderson, surrendering a hit while walking three and striking out three. Ravens leadoff hitter Branton Sanders scored three of his team’s runs and stole three bases. Sanders had four steals in two games against Hanover to up his total to 10 in the team’s first six games.
Franklin College freshman golfer Zach Ricketts helped the Grizzlies win their own spring invite by carding a two-day score of 78-75—153.

Anderson freshman basketball player Gavin Dowling was named honorable mention All-HCAC after averaging 10.1 points and 5.8 rebounds this season.
Taylor baseball player T.J. Bass helped his team record a four-game sweep of Bethel by totaling three hits, driving in two runs and scoring one.
UIndy senior pitcher Reid Werner got the start in an 8-7 loss to Missouri S&T. Werner pitched 6 2/3 innings, giving up eight hits and striking out seven.
Greenwood Christian
Franklin College senior Krae Sparks pitched the first 5 2/3 innings for the Grizzlies baseball team in a 9-6 win over Anderson. Sparks allowed nine hits, walked three and struck out four.
Roncalli
Freshman pitcher Amber Linton, a Franklin resident, logged 1 2/3 innings of relief for the Indiana softball team in an 11-3 defeat of Rutgers in Leesburg, Florida. Linton then pitched the final frame of an 8-1 victory over the Scarlet Knights and the final 4 1/3 innings in a 6-5 11- inning win.
Other
University of Miami diver Zach Cooper qualified for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships by winning the men’s platform event at the Zone B qualifying meet in Greensboro, North Carolina, with 871.80 points.
