Franklin man charged with child exploitation

Prosecutors charged a Franklin man with child exploitation after a 14-year-old girl reported he bought her alcohol and took a naked photo of her.

Jamie Lynn Henderson, 61, is charged with child exploitation, a Level 5 felony.

The victim said last May, Henderson bought her alcohol and encouraged her to drink it at his house. She drank so much she threw up on herself and had to wash her clothes. Henderson gave her a button-down shirt and a blanket and she fell asleep, according to a probable cause affidavit filed March 29 in Johnson County Superior Court 3.

The victim said when she woke up, the shirt was unbuttoned and the blanket was on the floor, court documents said.

She told officers she went through Henderson’s phone and found a naked photo of herself from the night before. She was asleep and exposed. She deleted it and never spoke to Henderson about it, she said.

A couple months later, while in the car together, Henderson brought up the photo and told the victim she was a beautiful lady with a nice body and he had fantasies about her, according to court documents.

That night, she found the same photo on his phone and deleted it again, she said.

The victim reported the sexual assault in October, and detectives spoke with Henderson Nov. 9. He denied buying the victim alcohol and taking a naked photo of her, court documents said.

When detectives asked Henderson to look through his phone, he told them he did not have it on him, but would arrange a time to meet with them and let them look through it, according to court documents.

He had not done that by the time the probable cause affidavit was filed, court documents said.

He was arrested on a warrant Wednesday and taken to the Johnson County jail where he is held on $600 bond.
