Richard T. Robley

GREENWOOD

On Thursday, April 29, 2021, Richard T. Robley, loving father of five children, passed away at the age of 74. Rich was born on April 27, 1947 in Peoria, IL to John and Edna (Chapman) Robley.

He received his economic degree from Blackburn College where he played basketball for the four years he attended. After years of working as a National Sales Manager in the medical equipment industry, Rich purchased Indianapolis Scale Company in 2001 where he finished out his career.

In Rich’s early life, he enjoyed all things sports. He loved playing basketball, coaching basketball, running, and playing racquetball. He liked spending time out on the lake and spent lots of time watching his kids’ sporting events. As Rich got older, he narrowed down his hobbies to spending time with family and golf. His favorite thing in the world was getting out on the greens with his friends and family while knocking back a couple cold ones. Rich was known for his quick wit, locker room talk, business acumen and unconditional love.

Rich was preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Edna; and his uncle, George Chapman.

He is survived by his five children, Chad Robley, Jason (Beth) Robley, Amanda (John) Andresen, Angela (Jason) Vinson, and Brad (Grace) Robley; seven grandkids; and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 at Southern Dunes Golf Course on 8220 South Tibbs Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46217. Visitation is from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with an informal service to follow.
