Area man wanted for failing to register as sex offender

Local law enforcement are searching for a Shelbyville man who failed to register as a sex offender.

William Joe Neville, 58, is a sexually violent predator whose whereabouts are unknown. He is wanted on three warrants for failure to register as a sex offender, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Neville is white, slender, 5-foot-8-inches tall and has a tattoo on his left forearm with the words, “rock ‘n’ roll.” He is known to frequent the Franklin, Amity, Shelbyville and Edinburgh areas, the sheriff’s office said.

Neville was convicted of child solicitation in 2003 and child molestation in 2004, according to the sheriff’s office. He was incarcerated at the Johnson County Jail until August 2010.
