Franklin College on Friday announced the appointment of two new institutional advancement professionals, both with extensive higher education and fundraising experience.

Lindsay Wimmer was appointed as director of development. She brings nearly eight years of fundraising experience as a college development professional to her new role at the college. Most recently, she served at Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington as an associate director of development and alumni relations, according to a Franklin College news release.

Wimmer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Indiana University. Previous work experience includes serving as a leadership annual giving officer at Butler University and working for Olympia Media Group, the news release said.

She began working at the college on Aug. 31.

Tracey Wischmeyer was appointed as director of annual giving and stewardship. She brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education and development to her new role at the college. Most recently, she served at Indiana University Foundation as the director of development campus-wide initiatives at IUPUI, according to the news release.

Wischmeyer earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communication from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis, the news release said.

She began working at the college on Sept. 8, 2021.
