Mildred F. Haptonstall

GREENWOOD

Mildred F. Haptonstall, 88, of Greenwood, passed into eternal life at Community Hospital South on August 8, 2021. She was born to Kenneth Crago Partridge and Mildred (Fee) Partridge on March 31, 1933, in Honesdale, PA.

She leaves behind her sons, Fred Haptonstall (Cindy) of Onalaska, WA, and Gary Haptonstall (Shannon Phillips) of Clayton, IN. Her brother, Ken Partridge (Rosell?) of Franklin. Milly’s loving nieces are: Joy Ullrich of Broomfield, CO, Jeanette Oliver of Indianapolis, and Laura Hagy of Greenwood. Her grandchildren are: Tom Haptonstall (Drew) of Chehalis, WA, Michelle Grady (Jeff) of Whiteland, Steven Haptonstall of Greenwood, and Jordan Haptonstall (Trae Wilson) of Whiteland. She also had numerous great-grandchildren of which she was extremely proud.

Milly worked for Greenwood Schools and the Greenwood Parks Department. She was a very caring person who put God and family above everything else. She was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church for over 75 years. Each week, Milly would write and send dozens of cards to friends and acquaintances with messages of encouragement, grief, healing, and celebration. She loved all holiday. Milly was a generous person who loved shopping and buying gifts for others.

There will be no funeral services for Milly, but there will be a Celebration of Milly’s Life at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N Madison Ave, Greenwood, IN 46142, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, starting at 1:00 p.m. There will be a burial at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Franklin Graham’s Samaritans Purse Fund or Greenwood United Methodist Church, as requested by the family.
