Ball State linebacker Clayton Coll finished his team’s 22-12 loss to Toledo with a career-high 15 tackles. The former Franklin standout is now tied for second on the Cardinals in tackles with 29.

Marian sophomore Drew Byerly hauled in a 7-yard touchdown reception in the team’s 49-0 shutout of Missouri Baptist.

Taylor men’s golf was dominant in capturing the Battle of Blackthorn in South Bend, and junior Javan Johnson was second individually with a 2-under-par score of 71-71—142. Huntington freshman Quin Edwards tied for 11th overall with a 76-73—149.

Butler freshman Damon Dickey shot a score of 224 as the Bulldogs tied for ninth in the team standings at the Zach Johnson Invitational in Iowa.

IUPUI sophomore setter Brooke Phillips had 25 assists and two kills as the Jaguars lost in three sets to Milwaukee. She followed with 45 assists, 12 digs and four kills in a five-set loss at Cleveland State.

Center Grove

Freshman Ashlee Fisk helped Indiana Wesleyan women’s tennis claim the Crossroads League tournament title, winning matches at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles against Huntington and at the third singles spot against Marian. The IWU men, meanwhile, improved to 20-0 by dominating the Crossroads League tournament with three shutout victories. Junior Trey Thixton scored a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles in the match against Bethel.

The University of Indianapolis volleyball team lost a four-set decision at Illinois Springfield, though junior Emma Jones had eight kills and two digs for the Greyhounds. Jones completed the team’s loss to Lewis with 11 kills and two digs.

IU Southeast scored wins over Brescia and Oakland City. Santina Schembra totaled 25 digs and three aces in the two matches combined. She also had nine digs, a kill and an assist in a loss at Midway.

Indiana State sophomore Ashley Eck had five digs and an assist as the Sycamores downed Evansville in three sets.

Texas A&M senior Macy Carrabine finished with 10 digs, three assists and a service ace as the Aggies downed visiting South Carolina in three sets.

Junior Noah Gillard carded a final-round 66 to finish tied for 16th individually as Indiana men’s golf placed 10th at the Windon Memorial Classic. Teammate Ethan Shepherd posted three consecutive 72s to tie for 42nd.

St. Leo golfer Alex Heck placed 20th individually with a three-round total of 218 as the Lions placed seventh of 13 teams at the Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Georgia.

DePauw receiver Trent Veith had three catches for 21 yards as the Tigers football squad won at Wooster, 34-30.

Senior safety Russ Yeast had three tackles for Kansas State football in its 31-20 loss at Oklahoma State.

Lucas Hunter recorded two tackles for Indiana State in a 44-0 loss to South Dakota State.

Taylor defensive back Tyler Watson had four tackles and broke up two passes in the Trojans’ 34-7 loss at Olivet Nazarene.

Louisiana senior kicker Nate Snyder had three touchbacks in the team’s 28-20 win at Georgia Southern, booming his six kicks for an average of 63 yards.

Marian linebacker Bailey Bennett had two tackles, including a sack, as the Knights blitzed visiting Missouri Baptist, 49-0.

Senior receiver Trevor Hohlt had three catches for 22 yards for Ball State in its 22-12 home loss to Toledo. Freshman Carson Steele had 10 yards rushing.

St. Francis defensive back Isaiah Lacey finished with five tackles a pass break-up in the Cougars’ 38-0 loss at St. Xavier.

Whiteland

Taylor freshman Sarah Scott had 15 kills, a block and a dig as the volleyball squad downed Grace in three sets. The Trojans also defeated Huntington, with Scott totaling 11 kills, three digs and an assist.

Greenwood

Manchester volleyball player Joy Maze had 15 kills and 16 digs in the Spartans’ five-set win over Trine.

Greenwood Christian

Sophomore goalkeeper Gabe Vessely had four saves for St. Francis men’s soccer in a 3-0 loss to Bethel and three in a 3-0 loss to Grace.
