Woodmen boys, girls sweep

Greenwood took both ends of its meet with Brebeuf on Thursday, with the boys earning a 106-55 victory and the girls pulling out a 92-87 triumph. The Woodmen boys won all three relays and got individual first-place finishes from Conner Peckinpaugh (50 and 200 freestyle), Joe Sheets (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) and Andrew Mears (500 free). For the girls, Reagan Graves (100 and 200 free), Chloe Vitatoe (200 IM, 100 butterfly) and Madison Peckinpaugh (50 free, 100 breaststroke) were all double winners, while Madison Ramsey (diving) and Hailey Peckinpaugh (500 free) also came out on top.

Trojans dominate in road win

Center Grove used a 14-2 scoring edge in the third quarter to stretch out to a 25-point lead, then coasted from there for a 48-33 triumph at Bloomington South on Thursday. Ella Hobson had 10 points to pace the Trojans (7-5), followed by Aubrie Booker with seven and Audrey Annee and Rachel Wirts with six apiece.

Royals advance in county tourney

Claire Lindsey’s career-best 20 points helped Roncalli power its way to a 51-18 win over Decatur Central in the quarterfinal round of the Marion County tournament. Sydney Horton added nine points for the Royals (5-4), who will play Southport in a Saturday semifinal at Ben Davis.
