Sharon Kay “Croas” Brooks, 71 of Bargersville, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on October 21, 1950 to William Bruce Croas, Jr. and Nora Alice (Doty) Croas. She married William E. Brooks on April 13, 1973 in Bargersville. He lovingly survives. Also surviving is daughter, Alicia Kay Duke of Brownsburg; granddaughter, Breanna Kay South and grandson, Cody Taylor Duke and great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Kyson Walker; Maleah Bryson and Dakota Duke. She was preceded in passing by her parents; brother, William Robert Croas; grandson, Brian Keith Duke, Jr. and great-granddaughter, Bella Duke.
Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Center Grove High School.
Sharon was employed by Center Grove Schools as a cook for seventeen years and later worked for Greenwood Middle School as a cook.
Sharon received a kidney transplant on July 12, 1996.
Sharon was a member of Second Mt. Pleasant Church. She enjoyed bowling and music.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Indy Blue Star Mothers IN-14.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, January 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S 31 North) in Franklin, Indiana. Inurnment will be at a later date at Salem Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
