Greensburg Road bridge to close for 120 days

Drivers traveling on Greensburg Road bridge over Sugar Creek will need to find an alternate route starting Monday.

Greensburg Road between County Road 700 East and County Road 725 East will be closed for 120 days starting Jan. 17. The closure is to rehabilitate the Greensburg Road bridge over Sugar Creek in Needham Township, according to a Johnson County Highway Department news release.

The official detour route for eastbound drivers is County Road 700 East to State Road 44.

From SR 44 and west of the closure, drivers should take Shelby County Road 750 West, then head south to Johnson County Road 500 South and County Road 800 East to get to the portion of Greensburg Road east of Sugar Creek.
