Boys basketball

Royals stifle Woodmen

Roncalli earned a 44-32 victory over Greenwood on Saturday. Gabe Horn and Alex Moll led the Royals (6-9) with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Woodmen (7-9) got nine points from Noah Apgar and eight from Gavin Ruppert.

Lancers keep rolling

Travis Jones scored 23 points and Caleb Dewey added 21 as Class A No. 2 Edinburgh posted a 71-57 home win over Henryville. Jarrett Turner also finished in double figures with 12 points for the Lancers (14-1), while Landen Burton chipped in eight.

Cougars dominate Cristo Rey

Max Booher’s 21 points helped lead Greenwood Christian to a 71-40 rout of Providence Cristo Rey. Blake Shewmaker added 12 points for the Cougars (9-9).

Girls basketball

GCA rolls to victory

Dory O’Dell scored 18 points, one of three Greenwood Christian players in double digits during a 51-24 victory over Indiana School for the Deaf on Saturday. Dani Simon finished with 16 points for the Cougars (12-11), while Ellie Bigelow contributed 12.

Lancers drop league contest

Edinburgh wound up on the short end of a 46-33 score against South Decatur. Alyssa Funkhouser and Callie Hancock each scored nine points for the Lancers (8-10, 1-4 Mid-Hoosier).
