Sims named Royals’ coach
Former assistant Jason Sims was named the head coach at Roncalli on Tuesday. A former player at Vincennes and Marian, Sims has been working in the Royals’ program for the past four seasons. He served as the interim head coach for most of the 2021-22 season, going 12-10 over the final 22 games and winning the Circle City Conference championship.
Sims, who is also an assistant athletic director at Roncalli, had previously spent three seasons as the head coach at his alma mater, Eminence. He posted a 53-12 record there from 2004 to 2007.
