Elva Florine Cobb Graham, 96 passed away on Thursday morning, April 14, 2022 at her longtime residence in Nineveh.

Elva was the oldest resident of Nineveh that was born, raised and still live there.

Elva was born April 17, 1925, the daughter of Myrtle F. Coffman and Walter A. Cobb. Elva married Lloyd Donald Graham February 14, 1942. They were married fifty years. Lloyd passed away June 25, 1992.

Elva was a homemaker for her husband and seven daughters. She attended the Nineveh School. Her hobby was bowling for many years.

Elva joined the Nineveh Christian Church when she was twelve years old. She loved the old beautiful hymns. You felt like you had been to church. She sang in the church choir in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Elva is survived by daughters, Susan Ferguson (Floyd), Debbie Graham, Betty Graham (Keith) and Becky Martin (Otis). Also surviving are grandchildren, Jeffery Ross, Jenny Williams, Jodi Sizemore, Scott Ferguson, Tony Ferguson, Daniel Prince and others and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Lloyd; daughters, Sandra Shipley, Carolyn Ross Gambrel and Donna Bartlett; two brothers, Walter E. Cobb and Ben E. Cobb; one sister, Betty Ruth Thompson and a very good friend, William Forshee. Also preceding her in passing were grandsons, Rodney Shipley, Donald H. Prince and Jimmy Bartlett, Jr. and great-great granddaughter, Kinzley Ross.

Pastor Adam Fleener will conduct a Celebration of Elva’s life on Saturday, April 16 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation for family and friends on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
