GREENWOOD
George J. Adams, 98, passed away Thursday morning, April 14, 2022. He was a long time resident of Greenwood.
He was born June 29, 1923 in Shelburn, IN to William and Daisy (Coterell) Adams. He married Mary L. Nickless on July 27, 1946 in Youngstown, IN. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Adams of Greenwood; two daughters, Joyce (Rick) Spilker of Indianapolis and Jan (Paul) Drexler of Louisville, KY; one son, Gary B. (Teresa) Adams of Cloverdale; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
George was employed by Ford Motor Company for over 31 years, retiring in September 1987 as a Stationary Engineer.
He was a member of Southland Community Church in Greenwood.
Visitation will be from 11-1 PM, Wednesday, April 20, at Southland Community Church, 5800 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood. A funeral service will follow at 1PM. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
