FRANKLIN, IN.
Mary Frances (Swartz) Earles Coy, 102 of the Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community and formerly of Trafalgar, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday May 5, 2022.
She was born on August 23, 1919, on the family farm in White River Township, Johnson County, IN on Olive Branch Road to Samuel R. “Sam” and Lena Opal (Draper) Swartz.
She was a 1937 graduate of Center Grove High School and a member of the Trafalgar Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, crafts, cooking and camping with family and friends.
Survivors include her sons Stanley Earles (Sara) of Franklin, IN, Stephen Earles (Kim) of Franklin, IN, a daughter Arlene Inabnitt of Franklin, IN, six grandchildren Scott Earles of Franklin, IN, Tina Buchanan (Jim) of Whiteland, IN, Steve Inabnitt (Shanta) of Franklin, IN, Lee Ann Blazer (Nathan) of Franklin, IN, Carrie Kennedy of Indianapolis, IN and Ryan Earles (Rachel) of Franklin, IN , great grandchildren Ian Blazer, Emmy Pickhardt, Jamie Pickhardt and Rory Earles, great greatgrandchild Kyla Pickhardt, three stepchildren Betty Barrow of Crosby Township, OH, Bernard Coy (Lois) of Trafalgar and Jeff Coy (Linda) of Franklin, IN, step grandchildren Diana Henderson (Dave) of Franklin, IN, Travis Coy of Greenfield, IN, Rick Coy (Cindy) of Trafalgar, IN, Tim Coy (Michelle) of Trafalgar, IN, Tammy Jackson (Danny) of Nineveh, IN, and several step great grandchildren, a step sister Bonnie Brown of Noblesville, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Samuel R. Swartz Jr., grandson Brian Earles, husband Jim Earles, husband Hansel Coy, stepson Donald Lee Coy (Mary), stepbrothers Bob Cook and Herschel Cook and stepsister Rachel Simpson-Brandt, close camping friend Dorothy Havener.
Friends may call Tuesday May 10, 2022, from 4PM until 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.
A private family service will take place and burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, IN.
