Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to close State Road 44 today and Thursday to replace pipes west of Franklin.
The road will close to non-local traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between State Road 135 and County Road 100 South near First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Access will be maintained for local residents, school buses and emergency personnel, INDOT officials say.
INDOT officials are asking drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and consider worker safety when traveling through active work zones.
