Edinburgh seeking town manager applications

The town of Edinburgh is accepting applications for its next town manager.

Town officials are seeking a “highly motivated leader” to become the town’s next manager. The call for applicants comes after former town manager Kevin McGinnis resigned last week.

The town manager is responsible for managing nine department supervisors, leading and managing economic development projects, as well as neighborhood-based community development projects. They must also initiate, plan, oversee, execute and close out significant development projects, according to Edinburgh.

Also part of the job is establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a full range of elected and appointed officials, town colleagues, community leaders, private contractors, business owners and not-for-profit boards and directors. A bachelor’s degree in project management, business management, or public administration or related field from an accredited college or university, and/or a minimum of two years of direct work experience in community development is preferred — but not required, according to the town.

A complete job description can be found on the town’s website at edinburgh.in.us/egov/documents/1714055780_2793.pdf.

Interested parties should mail a letter of interest and a resume to Ryan Piercefield, Edinburgh Town Council president, P.O. Box 65, Edinburgh, IN 46124-0065, or email the letter of interest and resume to [email protected]. Information must be received by May 31 to be considered, officials say.

The town is an equal opportunity employer.
