Ivy Tech to host youth camps in June

Middle school students can sign up for free summer youth camps in June that will include science, technology, robotics, engineering, math and business at Ivy Tech Community College’s Columbus campus.

The free STREAM camp, sponsored by Ivy Tech’s School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Applied Science and its School of Arts, Science and Education, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 20-23. The STREAM camp will include offerings in molecular biology, organismal biology, astronomy, technology, robotics and engineering, geometry and applied math, according to an Ivy Tech Community College news release.

The college will also offer a free business summer camp, which will take place on June 20 and 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., sponsored by the Indiana Manufacturing Competitiveness Center. That camp will include business administration, entrepreneurship and logistics/supply chain. Lunch will not be served at the business camp, so students are advised to bring a lunch with them, according to the release.
