GREENWOOD
Kenneth Holger Jensen, of Greenwood, Indiana was called to his heavenly home on August 12, 2022. He was born on June 3, 1943, in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Jeanette and Holger Jensen. Ken graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in August 1966. He married Darlene Johnson in September 1966 and they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Ken worked his entire career as a mechanical engineer at Allison’s, a division of General Motors and retiring in 2003. Ken is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, Trent; sister Kathy McFarland and her husband, Rick McFarland; Kathy’s son, John and his brother Mike and his wife Nancy, and their three children, Christa, Carrie and Chad. Ken is also survived by his brother-law, Roger Frischer and Darlene’s brother, Van and his wife Judy and their two sons, Mark and Greg Valaskey.
Ken was preceded in death by a son Brett, parents, brother Lane, Aunt Bee and grandmother Ann Struntze.
Ken loved traveling, biking, getting together with friends while trying new restaurants.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17th from 12:00 – 1:00pm at Concordia Lutheran Church 305 Howard Rd, Greenwood, Indiana with a service starting at 1:00pm with Rev. Paul Gaschler officiating. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a graveside service 1:30 pm on Thursday.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church and/or Riley Memorial Foundation. Ken was always happy to have friends and family around him and he will be sorely missed. God will enjoy having him and we all have been blessed knowing him.
