Gladys Williams

GREENWOOD

Gladys Williams, 84 passed away at her residence in Greenwood on August 27, 2022.

She was born on March 21, 1938 in Jamestown, Kentucky to T.C. Clayton and Mayme (Clayton) Redmon. She is survived by children, Darla Williams and Troy Williams; grandchildren, Regan Wilson, Ross Williams, James Glisson (Jessica), and Jonathan Robling (Kimberly); great-grandchildren, Alivia Glisson, Raelin Glisson, Gauge Williams, Demeya Wilson; siblings, Brenda Robling, Effie Knapp and Larry Redmon, many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents; siblings, Lynn Hopwood, Audrey Smith, Lois Harris, Connie Simpson; brother-in-law, David Robling and nephew, Mark Hopwood.

Gladys attended Russell County High School.

Gladys retired from Western Electric, that’s now Lucent Technologies.

Gladys loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two words to describe Gladys was loyal and love. She was a friend and giver to everyone.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Our Hospice for their compassion and caring for Gladys in her final days.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Dan Chappelow officiating.
