Sandra Elise (Becker) Rash, 85 of Franklin, Indiana was welcomed into heaven on May 6th, 2024. Surrounded by her loved ones, Sandy passed away peacefully. Sandy was born in Marion County, IN, on August 12, 1938, she was raised on their family farm by her parents, Anice Mildred and Arnold Becker.

After graduation from Franklin Central High School in 1956, Sandy married her high school sweetheart, Tom, on June 7, 1957. Together, they raised their three sons in the home Tom built in Franklin Township, Indiana. They moved to Prince’s Lakes in the early 80’s. They began attending Nineveh Christian Church where they served in the youth group together while Sandy also served as a Sunday school teacher, in the kitchen, at VBS, and alongside Tom as he taught Sunday school. Sandy was a homemaker and always made each visitor to her home feel welcomed and loved. Her home seemed to be the most peaceful place on earth.

Sandy and Tom enjoyed traveling to various historical sites across the country and exploring antique stores. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family. Sandy was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, delighting in every moment spent with them.

Sandy is survived and greatly missed by her children, Thomas (Jim) Rash Jr. (Karen), Todd Rash (Cindy), Kyle Rash (Juana); grandchildren, Andy Rash (Tara), Amy Bennett (Andy), Emily Bounds (Joseph), Tyler Rash (Brandy), Amber Sichting (Eric), Elizabeth Wheatley (Jacob), Adam Rash (Kelsey), Terra Knapp (Clinton), Aaron Rash, Danny Rash (Marci); brothers, Kevin Becker (Judy) and Noel Becker (Barbara); sister-in-law, Marilane Becker; twenty-five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Thomas Rash (2022); parents, Arnold and Anice Mildred (Apple) Becker; her sister, Joan Spencer (Tom); brothers, Larry Becker and David Becker (Sue); and great-granddaughter, Adeline Vaughan Bennett.

A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Pastor Tom Knight, will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Nineveh Christian Church (1231 East County Road 775 South in Nineveh). Family and friends may call on Monday before the service between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the Nineveh Cemetery.
