Here’s the latest on I-69 construction in Johnson County

The stoplight at State Road 37 and County Road 144 will be removed this week, signaling continued progress on Interstate 69.

With the stoplight removal, traffic will shift onto new pavement and a bridge over State Road 144. New on- and off-ramps will also open, according to a weekly construction update from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The work will impact northbound State Road 37 access to State Road 144 and State Road 144 access to southbound State Road 37. As detours, drivers can follow State Road 37 north to County Line Road, using the roundabouts to enter the southbound highway. Drivers can also take Bluffdale Road and Old State Road 37, accessed by the State Road 37 signal at Fairview Road. Old State Road 37, also known as Waverly Park Road, will reopen north of State Road 37 when traffic is shifted to the new bridge, INDOT officials say.

In Marion County, drivers on Interstate 465 can expect nightly lane closures near Carson Avenue and Mann Road, where construction crews are replacing bridges over the interstate. Carson Avenue bridgework will also cause intermittent nighttime closures on the southbound Interstate 65 ramp to westbound I-465. Road work north and south of the Mann Road bridge will cause short delays early this week between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., INDOT officials say.

In Morgan County, workers will continue paving outside the Artesian Square Shopping Center. An Ohio Street traffic signal at Ruth Rusie Way will be activated once that work is finished, INDOT officials say.
