Frances Louise Sims

TRAFALGAR

Frances Louise Sims, Trafalgar, Indiana, passed away on the early morning of September 11, 2022. She was 81 years old. Frances Louise Sims was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and then adopted by her parents Arthur and Stella Morgan. She graduated from Greenwood High School and she graduated in the class of 1958. Frances met her husband Garnet Wesley Sims in Greenwood and together they shared 54 years of marriage together.

Frances worked in egg production for Walker’s Egg Hatchery and retired in 1976 after ten years of service. Frances was a member of the Franklin Assembly of God with her husband for 25 years. Frances had a giving heart and enjoyed volunteering at church in a variety of ways, especially in the nursery. She also volunteered at Trinity Broadcasting Network Food Pantry and Supplies Outlet for years to help the less fortunate. She fiercely loved her grandchildren and could be trusted to provide a laugh for those she loved. Frances had an amazing green thumb; she was known for keeping houseplants alive for years. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind and the memories cherished will continue to live on.

Frances is survived by her children, Julie (Jerry) Pickett and John (Teresa) Sims; her grandchildren, Kaylie Pickett, Hunter (Kaylin) Pickett, John (Erin) Sims and Zach Sims; her great grandchildren, Garnet Hoyt, Watson Ridge, Kynlie Alise; her half brother David Colvin.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents and husband Garnet Sims.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Philip Curtis officiating. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens following the services.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.
