Woodmen top Lancers, Eagles

Emma Baker was the medalist with a 42 as Greenwood extended its win streak to three by defeating Edinburgh and Brown County at Timbergate on Wednesday. The Woodmen, who posted a team score of 190 to beat the Lancers by 14, also got a 47 from Lucia Agresta and a 48 from Gracie Gasaway. Edinburgh was led by a 46 from Izzy Richardson and a 47 from Jillian Turner.

Braves stay unbeaten

Indian Creek kept its perfect season going with a 4-1 triumph over Decatur Central on Wednesday. Brendan Conner stayed unbeaten on the year with a win at No. 2 singles, while the doubles teams (Aiden Pemberton and Landon Sichting at No. 1, Trent Vols and Aaron Spurgeon at No. 2) also remained undefeated. Grant Dalton was a winner at third singles for the Braves (14-0).

Woodmen dominate Hornets

Dropping just one game all day, Greenwood coasted to a 5-0 rout of Beech Grove. Noah Paswater, Aidyn Green and Dominic Soubeih each won a love match in singles play for the Woodmen (13-7), while Will Davidson and Ian Ratliff earned a point at first doubles and Devin Weidner and Blake Reynolds did the same at No. 2.

Greenwood falls just short

Bre Wheatley made nine saves and kept Greenwood in a scoreless tie for 72 minutes before Mid-State Conference leader Plainfield got a late goal to escape with a 1-0 victory. The Woodmen, who play Greenwood Christian today, fall to 5-3-2 overall.

Warriors shut out Falcons

Emma Gill scored twice to lead Whiteland to a 5-0 washing of Perry Meridian. Rhianna Hardy, Haley Achs and Madison Fleury added goals for the Warriors, while McKinley Garrett and Kate Dimock split goaltending duties in the shutout.

Trojans edge Marauders

Emily Karr’s first-half tally held up as Class 3A No. 8 Center Grove earned a 1-0 victory over No. 19 Mt. Vernon.

Grizzly Cubs blank Olympians

Adam Ott kept a clean sheet in the net and Griffin Atkison tallied the lone goal of the match to give Franklin a 1-0 win over Columbus East on Tuesday night.

Braves victorious in three

Faith Wiseman put down 18 kills and added five blocks as Indian Creek swept South Putnam on Tuesday night 25-11, 25-10, 25-22. Ava Myers had 17 digs for the Braves, while Grayson Burkett and Mattie Key combined for 36 assists.
