Here’s the latest on I-69 construction in Johnson County

Drivers will notice some changes on State Road 37 following the partial opening of the State Road 144 interchange last week.

State Road 37 will shift to new pavement Wednesday between State Road 144 and Fairview Road. Drivers will experience traffic restrictions on northbound State Road 37 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday as construction crews move temporary barriers and adjust pavement markings. Once that traffic shift finishes, workers will adjust the traffic signal and pavement markings at the Smith Valley Road intersection, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

In Marion County, nightly Interstate 465 lane closures between Interstate 65 and the White River bridge will accompany work to remove median barriers and replace the Carson Avenue overpass. Intermittent nighttime closures of the southbound Interstate 65 ramp to westbound I-465 are also ongoing. Work on new Interstate 69 lanes and interchanges will cause a long-term closure of Epler Avenue and Belmont Avenue west of State Road 37 starting Sunday, INDOT officials say.

In Morgan County, the Henderson Ford Road ramps on I-69 will close Monday and Tuesday nights for final paving and striping. South of the road, construction crews are working on final paving and striping, bridge painting, cable barrier installation and temporary driveway removal on the interstate. The Ohio Street and Ruth Rusie Way traffic signal was activated last week at the entrance of the Artesian Square Shopping Center, and paving of Bobby Helms and Bill’s boulevards will resume this week.
