Patching work to start Tuesday on I-65 between Franklin and Edinburgh

Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be conducting patching operations along Interstate 65 between mile marker 80 and mile marker 90 in Shelby and Johnson Counties starting as early as Tuesday. Patching work will require daytime single-lane closures in both directions of I-65, according to a news release from INDOT.

Mile marker 80 is located at the exit for State Road 252 in Edinburgh and mile marker 90 is located just north of the Franklin exit.

Daily lane closures are expected 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. All patching on I-65 is expected to be complete by mid-November, INDOT officials say.

INDOT asks drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and use extra caution when traveling through active work zones.
