Halloween activities abound

The next two weeks offer a variety of Halloween-themed events and activities to keep trick-or-treaters of all ages entertained. Here’s what is coming up:

Autism Community Connection Trunk or Treat — 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 22, New Hope Church, 5307 W. Fairview Road, Greenwood; this event is for individuals and families affected by autism to have a good time while getting treats and learning about local autism resources. This event is free and the public is welcome.

Carni-Fall — 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22, Independence Park, 2100 S. Morgantown Road, Greenwood; the special needs community is invited to enjoy carnival food, trick-or-treating along the StoryWalk, carnival games, a duck pond, a bounce house and more. Costumes are encouraged. All ages are welcome to this free event.

Greater Greenwood Community Band Halloween Concert — 6 to 7:15 p.m. Oct. 23, Greenwood Community High School, 615 Smith Valley Road; enjoy a concert of Halloween-themed music performed by costumed musicians, with fog, black lights and more. This event is free and the audience is encouraged to wear costumes.

Halloween Party on the Prairie — 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Oct. 27, Trafalgar library, 424 S. Tower St.; kids are invited to wear their costumes and take part in games, crafts and some trick-or-treating on the prairie.

Morning Pointe Trunk or Treat — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28, Morning Pointe of Franklin, 75 S. Milford Drive; the community is welcome to this free event, where participants in decorated trunks will be passing out treats.

Bargersville Trunk or Treat — 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28, Bargersville Town Hall, 24 N. Main St.; families are invited to dress up in costumes and see decorated car trunks, where local businesses and organizations will be passing out candy during this free event.

Edinburgh Halloween Festival — 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28, Edinburgh Community High School, 300 Keeley St.; take part in trick-or-treating from area organizations in the high school gym and a free meal of hot dogs, walking tacos and drinks.

Pumpkin Trail at Franklin Urban Forest — 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 28, Franklin Urban Forest, 201 W. South St.; dress up in costume, listen to a story and trick-or-treat during this free event.

Halloween Carnival — 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29, VFW Post 5864, 567 Commerce Parkway West, Greenwood; celebrate the season with games, face painting, cake walks, and more, in addition to holding the drawing for the bike raffle.

Haunted Hoosier Block Party — 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 29, Hoosier Brewing, 147 S. Madison Ave., Greenwood; this family-friendly free event features food trucks, beer and other activities, plus a performance by The Why Store.

Central Indiana Jeep’ers Trunk or Treat — 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29, Bud and Bloom Florist, 355 N. Morton St., Franklin; see a variety of decorated Jeeps while you go vehicle to vehicle for candy.

Trunk or Treat — 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30, Fair Haven Christian Church, 1476 W. CR 300 S., Franklin; families can bounce on inflatables, enjoy a chili cook-off, play games and trick-or-treat from decorated trunks during this free event.

Trunk or Treat — 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30, Bella Rose Design Shopping Strip, 1001 N. SR 135, Greenwood; enjoy the creative trunks decorated by local businesses as well as games, raffles, food, giveaways and more.
