With winter right around the corner, the United Way of Johnson County wants to be sure children and their families throughout the county are ready for colder weather.
The agency will host its Operation Bundle Up event from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Turning Point Church, 3600 N. Morton St., Franklin. New and gently used coats will be distributed, along with gloves, mittens, hats and other warm-weather gear.
Operation Bundle Up is for Johnson County residents with children only. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to receive a coat. Adults must bring ID and proof of Johnson County residency.
No prior registration is required; families can come to Turning Point Church to sign up.
